A mineral-driven style of Sancerre with that classic flinty nose, this wine has broad appeal with a clean, refined character and balanced pyrazines (pyrazines give you those herbal grassy notes).
Perfect with white fish and fresh summer vegetables, this is also a classic pairing with creamy goat cheese.
Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most popular white grapes in the world, second only to Chardonnay. Without question, Sancerre is the most prestigious region for this grape due to the soil, climate, and history of the region. Naturally high in pyrazines, Sauvignon Blanc tends to exhibit herbaceous and green notes ranging from fresh cut grass to jalapenos and gooseberry. High in natural acidity the tart citrus fruits are also a major component to the wines flavor, especially when the grapes are grown in a cool climate like Sancerre.
