Summary
Its brick-red color with ruby shades is a tip-off to drinkers that this wine is something special. Aromas are complex and well balanced, offering an array of sensations reminiscent of spices, a spring garden of violets, roses and geraniums. Likewise, the palate is treated to another round of well balanced tastes that present as a racy expression of ripe dark fruit, spice and vanilla.
Food Pairing
Grilled or roasted red meat (Perfect for a rib-eye steak), smoked pork, sharp, rich cheeses. Enjoy up to 10 years after vintage year.
Varietal Notes
To the north-east of Alba the hills open into sweeping vine-yards that fall toward the Tanaro River. The region hosts more than 1600 acres of vineyards that gift us with just under 3 million bottles of DOCG Barbaresco. Grapes for the best Barbaresco are hand sorted and aged in oak.
