of Cabernet Sauvignon, the lively and charming character of Cabernet Franc is magnified in the well-drained clay soils and limestone gravel of Friuli. The variety is well-regarded by Italian wine producers – not just for blending with other Bordeaux varieties but in pure, 100 percent varietal form. Guyot vine training controls growth and assures fruit that delivers silky texture and soft tannins.
